An introduction to the world of computer security.
On the internet, new exploits and vulnerabilities are discovered all the time. It is important for a modern computer programmer to know these risks, and how to mitigate them when writing code.
You will learn the basics of encryption through the week: two-way, one-way, and hashing. You will also learn how to write code that ‘talks’ on the network and be able to inspect your own programs for any potential security holes.
By the end of the week, you will have designed and created a program that handles data using modern security techniques.
