Overview

Join artist Hala El Abora for an excursion around the 421 neighborhood in the workshop, Excavating 421: Archiving the Present.

  • In this workshop, participants will explore and excavate the urban environment in Mina Zayed, collecting found objects to be cast in plaster or etched.
  • By transforming these pieces into present archives and artifacts, we begin a discourse, guided by the artist, around urban historicism and preservation in the context of our region.
